Trinity Art Gallery

Call for Artwork – Arteast juried exhibit to be presented in the Trinity Gallery, Shenkman Arts Centre.

Coming up in February 2012 is the next Arteast juried show. The title of the exhibition this year is -

“Mix of Emotions”

Arteast members are encouraged to interpret their feelings from the wildest to the most serene using two and three dimensional media. We want works to explore all aspects and depths of emotion.

Perhaps a sentimental memory, a tranquil landscape or an angry sea.

Perhaps a smooth surface or a twisted form.

Or perhaps choice of colours or colours alone can best describe the artists’ chosen range of emotions.

Jury day is January 28th 2012 so it’s time to start the creative process now.

Looking Back ...

Arteast Artists celebrate “A Night At The Theatre”, Trinity Gallery. The public is invited to an opening reception for its latest juried show, “A Night At The Theatre”. The reception takes place on Sunday, February 20th 2011, from 1-3 p.m. in the Trinity Gallery on the Ground Floor of the Shenkman Arts Centre, 245 Centrum Blvd. in Orleans. Arteast members have been encouraged to capture the visual interpretations and beauty of theatre for this juried exhibition. Members have turned their emotions and excitement related to an evening of live entertainment into colourful, insightful, creative, visual art in all media. Three Juror’s Choice Awards will be presented. These awards are sponsored by Wallack’s Art Supplies, Avalon Centre, 2012 Tenth Line Road, Unit 2, Orleans On. 613-830-2400.

Orleans: A Celebration of 150 Years: The year 2010 is the 150th Anniversary of the founding of Orleans. In recognition of this historic milestone, Arteast has chosen this theme for its first juried exhibition in the Trinity Gallery of the new Shenkman Arts Centre. Artists are invited to offer works that reflect on the continuum of local history, in which we all play a role. This anniversary year gives us a chance to honour the places, people, things and experiences of the past and to embrace the future.

The exhibition will take place from February 18th to March 23, 2010.

Hidden Gems Exhibit at the Gloucester Gallery: Visual interpretations of the Ottawa/Outaouais region's best kept secrets, special places that only locals may know. Hidden spots where plein air artists meet to capture the first thaw, the setting sun or a spring bud. February 19th to March 24th, 2009. This was the last Arteast exhibit held at the Gloucester Gallery location before its move to the new Shenkman Art Centre.

Trees: The trees we love, the ones we hate to lose, the ones we watch grow, the ones that provide shelter, and the figurative ones. They warm our bodies and souls, clean the air, inspire the artist and ground us. These are visual expressions of one of man's best friends. Arteast at Gloucester Gallery with "Trees". August 28 to September 20, 2008.
