Community Partnership Project 2: Wall Mural at the Parent Resource Centre, Sandy Hill.

To create a wall mural with Queen Elizabeth Public School Gr.4 /5 student artists and Arteast artists. The resulting artwork would be mounted on a wall at the Sandy Hill Parent Resource Centre.

Timeline- October 20, 2009 - Queen Elizabeth teacher Suzanne Lalonde Gr. 4/5 MFI Teacher and her students are willing to do this project.

Timeline- December, 2009 - Joy visits Parent Resource Centre to see wall. "The diversity of today’s families" is shared as the theme for the wall.

Timeline- Thurs., February 18, 2010 - Arteast team members Mary Ann, Lindy and Joy visit the Resource Centre to measure wall and discuss project parameters, materials (canvas/paints etc.) to be used.

Timeline- February 24 to 26, 2010 - The project parameters would then be shared with Teacher Suzanne Lalonde and her Gr. 4/5 MFI students at Queen Elizabeth School.

Timeline- March 1 to 5, 2010 - "possible designs" would be created by the students with the mentorship of the artists.

Designs would be taken to the Resource Centre for approval.

Timeline-April 19 to May 7, 2010 (dates tba) -The work would be completed on canvas(es) at Queen Elizabeth School The times/dates would be coordinated with teacher Suzanne Lalonde/Arteast artists.

May 2010 - the "work of art" would be mounted at the Parent Resource Centre.

May 2010 - a Vernissage (treats provided by Arteast) to celebrate the project completion will be hosted at the Centre for the participants.
