Aline Joanis grew up in a rural area and gets her inspiration and peace of mind from nature. From her very early childhood, she demonstrated not only aptitudes but also interest in expressing herself artistically. Attracted by the colours, she chose oil and acrylic as her media. Painting became such a passion that she enrolled in the Ottawa School of Arts in Ottawa, Ontario.

Aline keeps improving her abilities through personal experiences, special workshops and plein-air painting sessions. Her many trips around the world introduce many new subjects that she captures on canvas.

The artist obtains great pleasure and a sense of fulfillment from teaching and sharing her art. Aline has exhibited successfully -- in many solo and group shows -- in galleries throughout Ontario and Québec.

Aline is a member of several associations, including: the Ottawa Art Association, Friends of the National Art Gallery of Canada, CARFAC, Arteast and Arts Ottawa East.
