I always wanted to reflect nature's beauty through art. My inspiration came from past experience with painting and woodworking. Thus by combining these two skills, Marquetry gave me the opportunity to create realistic subjects by truly reflecting nature's image using nature's media such as exotic wood veneer. In addition, a Pyrographic technique (drawing with heat) was added to complement my art piece.

I want to "invite" you to see and feel beyond the wood and find the effect of life that is depicted. This is the way I would like my artwork to be experienced.

I like to bring out the character of my subject by effectively utilizing the wood grain, tone and various shades to give the elusion of depth, life and movement. All my Marquetry art pieces contain wood from North America or across the world.
